Ducati Multistrada?
Discussion
Not ridden one yet but I understand the Multistrada is a corker even if the frontal view is a bit iffy but otherwise I reckon it's a damned good bike and certainly in a different league to the BMW.
As for the ST3, again not tried it but the ST2 is good (I'm told the ST4 is better!) and I believe the ST3 is a similar, but improved, beast falling between the ST2 and ST4 powerwise.
You won't find a dog (handling wise) in the Ducati stable.
Personally of the 2 I'd probably go for the Multistrada, subject to it living up to expectations on a test ride, and probably not too daunting for a newbie as it's not got the power of the DesmoQuattro but with a healthy wallop of midrange and top handling it should be fun
You know it makes sense.
Edited to say: I'm not in the market for a new bike just yet, but I would certainly consider a Multistrada when I am, and if (when) they bring out a 4-valve (998cc) version then I will really need to take a closer look.
