Hayden is the boy to look out for next year I reckon ... shame he threw it away today ...

Edwards on an RCV should be pretty awesome to watch .... The line of riders for next year and spread of machinery is superb and I will be considering less rounds of the BSB to afford to go to 1 or 2 of the European rounds ...

Jezza? Pah, probably assisting MotoGP officials with their Gravel choices

I reckon Rossi will still be able to kick the arse of most next year, be it Yam or whatever.

Nicky Hayden did well this year, good lad.

Acording to Michael Scott in MCN, given the places of the Yamahas at Phillip Island and Rossis lead. Even if he had been on a Yam he still would have won by 6 seconds, proof is in the pudding as they say....

The line up is flipin marvelious next season, Edwards barros, sete, Haydon, (agreed could be one to watch) on Hondas, Baylis, loris, Hodgson, poss xaus on Ducatis, Rossi (its going to happen!) Melandri, checa(wasnt to far off pace in spain) on yams. Its going to be a great season.

Jezzas bound to stay at Proton, the boy didnt do too bad he was in front of Haga?

I'd place a £10 outside bet at Ladbrokes for Edwards to claim the title next year on a Honda RCV. It must be worth a shot. I dont think the Duke has got what it takes to be a consistent race winner, especially on the tighter tracks. The Yam needs a lot of work still, but I suppose if there is one man who could acheive it, it has to be Rossi. Good to see Byrne in there with Aprilia, another reason to pop to Donington next July. Hayden will be another one to watch but not quite as seasoned as the other Honda riders on the world scene.

T'will be a good year.

Has Suzuka been confirmed yet or has it been scrubbed since Kato's sad departure?

Ooooh, handbag! For the record, I never stop on the grass. I keep going until such time as I meet the track again or alternatively arrive in the Paddock/car park/marshal post for a chat...

Is there any confirmation of Rossi's new ride in the media yet. www.motogp.com state that he has left Honda but dont detail his destination. Would it be Gauloises Yamaha or Fortuna Yamaha (Barros is with Gauloises at the mo) and I believe that Fortuna is the more widely known fag brand. BTW What happened to Rossi's principle of not riding for a tobacco sponsor? MONEY TALKS?

could be wrong but i am under the impression that Rossie cannot reveil where he is going until his current Honda contract completely runs out.

That is correct. Just as an interesting aside I do have a pretty well informed source (and I don't mean mother's neighbour's daughter's milkman's cousin's cat's nephew) who is adamant that he is going to sign for Ducati. And I think that would be a very good thing.

There are a number of other ponderables to consider as well ....

1 - Who will get the full factory spec RCV's ?

2 - Who will be the No 1 rider for Honda ?

3 - Where will Jerry Burgess (the man behind Honda's success) go next year ?

4 - After Honda's CEO was quoted as saying "we will destroy Rossi" - what have they got in the locker ?

5 - How competitive will Hodgson be on a year old bike ?

6 - Where is Tamada going ? & how good will the Bridgstone tyres be in 2004 ?

7 - Who are the dark horse's in all of these negotiations ? ....

Kenny Roberts ?
John Hopkins ?
Gary McCoy ?

Don't you just love the silly season

I have a feeling in me bones that the Doctor is going to sign for the mighty Bologna firm. I may be biased on this one though! Bring on April 2004.

I'm with Pesty, but I'll add Ferrari in 2006 to replace Schumacher.

Don't know if this is old news for you guys but I saw an interview with Jeremy Burgess on the local tv where he said he had a contract with Yamaha for the next 2 years. Also most of the team are going with him.
Looks like Rossi goes to Yamaha with most of the best team that has been in GP/MotoGP to back him up.
I think next year will be a pearler
