For some reason I decided to ride the bike into work today even though I haven't been on it for about a month

Now it is pi$$ing it down outside and I'm not looking forward to the ride home one little bit. Especially as my race-suit is still in my bedroom

Anyone here got a van they can come and put me and Kelis (my bike) in and take us home?

Ditto - lovely ride to work this morning and now wet, cold and miserable.

Roadworks and traffic jams most of the way home too - bummer!

Think I'll leave the bike in the garage tomorrow and get the car out again...

Well it's raining here as well, and I didn't realise till I got home yesterday (my 1st time out in the dark) that I had no rear light or brake light

ooh, that wasn't fun

I remembered to avoid all painted markings on the road and man-hole covers. Christ, I noticed the difference between tipping down rainy winter days and nice sunny summer days, especially with no visibility whatsoever from my visor - had to ride with it up.

Oh well, atleast my 20 minute commute was cut down to 5 minutes

What do you do with your visors when it's cold, dark and pi**ing down?

If the visors down and you're not moving fast, you can see f**k all - and if you have the visor up, then you get all the spray, from the car in front, in your face.

Felt like I was wearing a goldfish bowl last night!

I had to have it half way, so that I could just peek under it but was only getting some spray in my face

Visor down, Fog city on the inside, RainX on the outside and ride carefully for me.

'fraid I keep an eye (in as much as is possible) on the forecast & take the car if there's much chance of wet roads. water, salt & motorbike = not good
(this is also a good excuse for not riding too much in the cold )

I thought about using rainX on my visor but doesn't it say on the bottle not suitable for plastics? I avoided using it on the rear window of the Tiv for the same reason...?
