I have seen a 996 recently with a small number plate mounted between the rear light cluster and the exhausts. I take it that it was fixed to the reflector bracket. I didnt get close enough to see how the owner had re-located the indicators. Does anyone know of any bracket available to retain the indicators when the current number plate carrier is removed?

Eh up

I've fitted a Harris bracket which does as you say.....however it is 'specially for me Blade leek. 954 Girlie has one specially made for hers though, so that may be a better avenue to explore ?

Ta Yoda,

Is that a recent addition? Cant remember seeing it on the back on the Stir Crazy morning/Green Laning session back in the summer.

Had a look on the Harris site yesterday but could only find one for an R6 and a generic fitment bracket. Is yours made specifically for the Blade then?

I dont think that there was one person who had a little scare on Stir Crazy 1, bloody Ford Cargo.

Why not just make a bracket? That's what I'd do. After all, it's only a piece of bent metal with some holes in it. Beats the @$#% out of paying bike accessory shop prices.

M3EVO.......yep - mine is made 'specially for the 954 Blade. It was £35 which (considering it is Harris) I thought not to be too bad really. Fitted well & retains all the vital bits which was important to me. By buying a ready-made bracket, it saved personal bloodshed & generally upsetting the neighbourhood with Tourette Syndrome-like bursts of expletives. Oh and of course, the odd flying spanner.......I try to avoid DIY bike maintenance these days

I've got a catalogue at work from them which I'll have a butchers at tomorrow for you. They do quite a few bits for Dukes as far as I remember too.

I thankyou all. I could actually use the garage for it's defined purpose of vehicle maintenance instead of a tribute shrine to the fine Bologna based manufacturer, but I fear for skinless knuckles and broken nails. Maybe when I am indoors installing my new Ikea aluminium-look blinds, her indoors can go outdoors and knock me up a quick bracket (No f&^kin chance).

I still have no bloody bike and its Virginia Waters meet this weekend and I have just spent £12 f*&kin quid on indicator BULBS. "But its a Ducati sir!"
"Oh piss off, I dont wipe me arsch with fivers you know!"

EVO

Had a butchers at the catalogue & all they have is the "universal" bracket (as you say)........I'd suggest perhaps sending the missus on a evening crash-course in engineering to help you out

Not sure about the Virginia Water lark as it may be a tad too chilly for me old bones but'll probably decide on the day.
