Hi,

wanna call on your experience. After coming off the other day apart from a headache, stiff neck and painful ribs i was fine.

Now it feels like someone has scooped me out put all my insides in a blender and stuffed them back in in the wrong order. Is this normal?

I have nothing broken I dont even have any bruises probably cos i landed on grass so why do i feel so bad?

Anyone else had a simular experience? I will go to the doctor tomorrow if i dont feel any better.

Sounds familiar. I felt the same way - i.e. ok at the time, then worse before getting better. My head felt a bit woolly for a day or so and steadily improved, I also felt like I'd done a really serious work out to all muscles of stomach, back and chest. Now all I have left to remind me is a technicolour left shin.

I'd say it's normal if you've tested your lid/kit out that you'd feel like this. It's not going to keep you from harm, but does at least take the sting out. All of your muscles will have contracted heavily to protect your body, hence the delayed onset muscle soreness. In my case my lid was scratched, which would explain why my head felt like the morning after the night before.

Steve.

Id get to a doctor regardless, but it sounds like internal bruising. Im just paranoid it could be worse - like internal bleeding... or ruptures.

get yourself down the A&E rather than the docs...

Whilst it could well take a while for the bruising to come out, if you still feel rough, I'd make a trip to the Doctors or Casualty just to be checked out.

You're probably fine but it's safer to be sure!

Agree with the previous two posts, get down to A&E.

When I came off two weeks ago, I was helping to get my bike on the back of the recovery truck after the accident - now I can't sneeze without it feeling like someone's stabbed me in the chest and my wrist is in a cast.

Adrenalin can hide a multitude of injuries - better safe than sorry.

I came off, sorry was knocked off, 11 months ago and am still suffering from haemotoma (deep intenal bruising)in my left leg, doctors said that the body is not very good at getting rid of blood, I get pains if I stay still for too long. Agree with the muscle soreness though as I was aching all over for a couple of weeks.

well I feel a lot better now all the odd pains have gone in my kidneys etc.

The only thoing is pain in my ribs that only hurts if I try and move but maily if i lay down or move sharply.

I went to the doctor to ask if i may have cracked a rib and he said there is no point going for an x-ray as we dont do anything for ribs these days do you want some time off.

I think its probly the muscles or whatever the ribs are attached to so back to work on Sunday ;(

I thought I was fine after an off at Mallory Park, but a month later I was referred to a Physio and have been receiving treatment on my next and back for weeks now. Bastard pain won't go away.

sorry, not much help I know.

Its true, if you have fractured something ribs or otherwise, not a lot you can do.. I did my vertebrea a year ago. Nice Dr in Belgium did it as matter of course. Only recently has pain becoming surmountable, as a result of physio work. Worth insisting upon a checkup to your gp or ask for a referral to private med if you have it. If applicable, claim costs from insurance, third party or otherwise. Health (and/or confirmation you are) is more important that a relative small rise in premimums.
