well it had to happen eventualy!

Dont want to go into detail too much but had to brake very hard and it all went pair shaped from then on.

next thing i know im on me back looking up at the sky with a load of people stood over me.

Me bikes a mess and my ribs and neck ache. Also got a headache where my head decided to test the helmet out!

Think I'm gonna get pissed.

Ride like a knob and you fall off

have to say the Police who were on the scene straight away because they were there anyway were fantastic couldnt have been more helpful.

Hate to try and sound like profitering but I have just set up a business palstic welding and bike paints if I can be of any help. You would be amazed how I can weld panels you may think are write offs.

Sorry to hear that mate. Have just gone through a very similar experience - a car turned right through me and the bike, in the usual indicate as you turn manner. Bike down the road, me in the air and then down the road too. I tested out my lid and kit too, glad to say both worked very well. I just have a bruised shin now. Bike was fixed for £90, as the crash bungs saved it (R&G very good). My new lid cost considerably more, but I'm a bit attached to my bonce.

We really are very vulnerable out there. I was riding into work this evening when some ahole blew straight through the lights (on red needless to say) as I was about set off across a crossroads. I picked him up out of the corner of my eye. If I hadn't, I doubt I'd be typing now. Sobering stuff. Hope you make a full and quick recovery.

Steve.

To make it rideable £90. To make it brand new and shiny ~£1k + a few hundred on kit if they pay out. Of course I never do anything ordinary, so I have an unusual claim to fame about who hit me. I'll mail you through profile with the details.

Steve.

unfortunately i have no one to blame but myself. locked the front wheel so went off the brakes and aimed for a gap.. only the gap disapeared cos the driver braked...he saw the same thing i did leaving me nowhere to go.
I nearly saved it but the bike was beahaving like it was having a tank slapper.
I think my momentum pulled me off a bit like a mini high side.

Quite agree, as long as you're ok, that's most important thing. Metal things can be fixed or replaced, that's not so easy with people sometimes.

wounds heal and bikes can be fixed (or replaced by a better, faster model ) but if your dead you're dead.

Things could have been far far worse, give yourself a few days to recover and you will feel a lot better. I know I always feel lousy for a few days after something like this

had a quick look at the bike it dosn't look too bad all cosmetic by the looks.
Apart from the top fairing and the side fairing there is a matchbox size graze on the tank and a few scratches on the seat fairing bit.
The back tyre has damage to it but the wheel looks ok.
the bike was leaking petrol but i think it was just cos it had been filled.
