On the last track day my exhaust manifold basicaly came undone(obviously the bolts had been working lose for awhile)

So no problem remove fairings, move radiator, remove exhaust fit new gaskets as old ones had perished tighten up clamps to spedified torque setting. Engine sounds brand new again.

Aprox time to do all of above 1 hour.

Aprox time to refit all the fairings 1 hour.

Is it just me or do they never seem to go back together in the same place?

Try refitting the fairings back onto a ZZR600 absolute pain in the arse , i always fit the panels loose so you can jiggle them about a bit while refitting , The ZX6 is 10 mins for panels off and abot 15 min to refit

Aah the one area where Ducati's are more user friendly - Remove 916 fairings (both sides) about 30 seconds, refit them about 1 minute (good job really as you need to remove to top up the oil). Nose fairing removal about 1 minute refit about the same.

In fact total strip down of fairings, seat unit and fuel tank takes 3 -4 minutes. however a full service takes about 8 hours and costs £500!!!
