Will he or won't he .... right now this si what MotoGP needs before it becomes a Honda benefit race ...

Is Rossi soooo good that he can make the M1 win ??

I really hope he does sign for Yamaha and does a Schumacher style reversal of Yamaha's declining performance...

Agreed. Its the only way he can prove hes the best. Gamble for Yamaha though if they cant get the bike to do what he wants?

He Should go to suzuki then we would see how good he was

I'd love to see him on a Yamaha just to see if he could kick Honda's arse

But would it be good for him? Imagine if he didnt do well, they would say all these years winning was just because of the bikes.

It was be a significant risk for Rossi without a dount, but surely that would be testament to a great champion.

I think it would be fair to say the Yamaha is capable of a race win at the moment, at the right track with the right rider (Biaggi last year), but I do not think it is good enough to win a championship currently.

I hope Rossi takes the risk and has the development skills to get the Yamaha up to the job, even if it take 2 yrs.

Difficulty is that even with the power of Colin Edwards development skills working with Adrian Gorst, they can't get the Aprillia to work .....

Would Jerry Burgess leave Honda to go with Vale to Yamaha ... he's the man that makes the riders .... 9 titles and 111 GP victories starting with Wayne Gardener. Can Rossi afford to leave Burgess ??

I think it would be great news for the sport before it does become a Honda fest. like the WSB ...

Well chaps, looking in MCN today likelyhood of Rossi to Yamaha is greater. As they say it aint over till the fat lady sings, hang on whats that i hear.......

Talk is that Burgess will retire if Honda dont give him a new young rider to develop?

Rossi on a yam, brilliant. Lets just hope Yamaha can give him the right tool!

Didn't get a chance to read it yesterday ..... Burgess quote from Malaysia from "Family comes first" ... or words to that effect.

After seeing what Marco Melandri did with the Yam at Philip Island yesterday there can surely be no doubt that Rossi could make it a regular winner...?

Melandri is good, although Checa wasnt far behind. Yamaha has to be the way forward. Apparently Rainey was the last to switch makes and retain the title. Although he went to Honda when the NSR was said to be untaimable?

What a guy Rossi is though, 10 second penalty and still wins....respect. It seems he always needs a challenge.

Last person to switch titles and win them back to back was Steady Eddie Lawson, Honda to Yamaha .... Rainey did swap marques and win, but not back to back ...

Has anyone heard anything yet ? The longer it delays, the more likely he is to sign with Honda I reckon ...

It seems its a dead cert that Edwards is on for Honda. I'm amazed after he slated them so much after Honda ditching him in World Supers.

I too would love to see more of Edwards at the front. Is Honda panicing?? Moto GP could be fantastic next yr if Rossi is on a Yam, baylis / loris on Ducatis and Edwards / Biaggi(sp?) / Sete are on Hondas.
