Just knackered the fairing lower on the ZZR by being forced to ride over a high kerb at the entrance to a multistorey car park. Basically the bike wouldn't activate the entrance barrier and I was instructed to ride it over the kerb by an attendant. Must admit I thought it would be OK - otherwise I wouldn't have attemtpted it. Bad misjudgement - cue sounds of expensive splintering plastic. Can't wait until tomorrow's ranting telephone complaint...

Bad luck old chum. Just had a crunching moment myself. Played squash (racket and ball type!). Coming home racket sticking outside rucksack going with speed, bike just doesnt like going slowly!? (private road of course) only to hear what sounded like a kite taking off. I stopped took my ruck sack off to see racket missing and open.

As i did so three cars passed going the other way , crunch, crack, crunch. New ish titanium racket smashed. Then spent the next 15 mins picking up the rest of the contents of the rucksack by headlights!!!

That looks nasty. Glad you only had "relatively" minor injuries, although I bet they don't feel it.
