...in this forum that is.

I used to ride an R6 a couple of years ago, but ended up selling it as I was torn between that and the TVR in the nice weather.

Have since been craving the "wind in your hair" feeling and am thinking of getting a cheap bike for the odd blast.

I really want a V twin or triple, for the noise and grunt. Don't really want to spend more than £3k tops, and I am a little fella (5' 4").

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have to confess that a Monster is my first choice, was just wondering if I'd missed any other obvious ones...

I picked up my '95 Triumph Speed Triple for £3K. 32K miles. sounds fantastic and is a great bike. You could get the later twin headlighted model for a little more.

The old triumph daytona 900 is a nice looking bike you see some really nice ones about for well under 3k.

Old style Speed Triple, they're gorgeous in a butch sort of way. Especially in black or Lucifer Orange.
