Hi guys, my route to work takes me through Chobham in Surrey along a road that runs parrellel to the M3 for a short, straight (and very nice) stretch.

One end of this road it becomes a 40 limit and, just before it does it has Slow written on the road. Shortly before that, someone has sprayed "fast" on the road. The roundabout at the other end of the road is a favourite gathering point of local bikers and, I'm guessing the spray painter is one of them. Anyone on here gather at this point or know where I'm talking about.

Well anyway, it makes me chuckle every time I pass it so, thanks someone!

The piece of road and roundabout you talk of is 'Chobham Roundabout' I used to meet up there for silly antics a few yrs ago, until they put the pain in the arse bollards there. Quite a few of the bike mags used to go there on occasion too.

Agreed that its a good bit of road, easy to over cook it coming back towards the roundabout on the slight right hander.

Used to live down the road from there in Windlesham, that was always my favourite way up to Virginia Water when I had the Tiv. The road has a polka-dot effect from the number of front wheels touching down

No bike, but i've been up & down that road a few times when testing out the Cerb after various suspension/exhaust modifications! Never seen the loony on the bike though ..

Who else lives round 'ere, then? I'm in West End.

Im just the other side of Lightwater. Dont know what all the fuss is about on the Chobham roundabout. You dont get a good view of vehicles approaching and the surface is crap for getting the bike right over. Now they have turned it into some sort of permanent barrier situation???

If you want roundabouts, go to Basingstoke.

I'm in Camberley and work in Egham. So use the road as an A30 bypass!

Yeah, they've put bollards around the roundabout now so that it's not a perfect circle, can still have a bit of fun on it though. In a car at any rate!

Yes, that roundabout gave me the joy of my first knee down experience. Rode round it again earlier this summer and despite the bollards, managed to drag my knee nearly all the way round and carved a large amount from my hero blobs.

Current favourite roundabout is at the Oxshott/Leatherhead turn off frmo the A3.

All I need now, is one that goes anti-clockwise too!

Is that the one directly under the A3? Where you turn right to oxshot or left to esher?
