Now the manufacturers have released specs & pictures of these three, what are your views?
Anyone thinking of buying one?

No RSVR or Duke 999R in the bag?

Got to build up some no claims before attempting to buy any of those beasties.

they all look the same to me! no individuality at all, brakes and exhausts aside (they can be changed)

reminds me of the era of eoro box cars and the dullness of everyone being the same...

augusta MV, Aprillia, triumph, ducati, the SP2 maybe..

The Blade and Kwaker look good, what has happened to the R1 , hmmmm 180 bhp sounds good though

None for me though, agree that MV Augusta F4 / Ducati /laverda that was in MCN few weeks ago/ aprillia torno or even SV1000 has an appeal to me. Unless we are talking track which is a whole new ball game......

Again, the Blade could be the mutts. May just have to b
bag myself a demo ride on one of those beauts.

Sh1te colours on the one pictured though. Reminds me of the Benetton Polo all those years back. Too many solid colours. Looks sh1te.

I'm a big Italian V-Twin fan - love em to bits after having the 748 - would go for them above anything else if I could afford to run/abuse them like I do - I'd choose a 749r or that Laverda for 'something different' - if money were no object - not just purchase price but running costs.

All things considered I will prolly stick to the 'Mondeo of Motorcycling' the Blade - it does what it says on the tin!

Ducati 999. Best looking bike ever.
I will carry the RSV banner.

I'm a girl too & I have the old (current) blade and want to change to the new -

Kev - tell you girlfriend from me that it's first come first served - I'll race her for it!!

Can't ride the flippin RSV - too flippin big and to flippin wide for feeble 8 stone - 5'4" women!! which is a right bugger cos they are dead sexy!

RSV is tall - just right for me (6ft2") but not wide. oh no no no.
Girlfreinds blade is older version still.

Kev,
Still struggle on the RSV - they not built for iccul people - especially on track days - I even considered the Tuono R

That colour scheme on the blade above is yukky - the black/silver one in MCN this week is the one I'm lusting after

Can anyone explain to me why bikes only seem to last 2 years before being updated?

I mean my mind was kind of made up I want a 2002 R1 in silver and black please, then comes the K3 gixxer thou! er ok i'll take one of them please mister.

Now we've got a new R1 on the way looking damn sexy and if I bought a 2002 R1 I would probably wish i bought the 2004 modle every time I saw one.

also 180BHP whats that all about then? do they really need that much?

wouldnt put me off but i would have been happy with 170
