Can anyone highlight any symptoms of low front tyre pressure. Measured front pressure was 24PSi, its supposed to be 32PSi. The bike felt like it was trying to tuck in on me. ie. fall over mid bend. Could this be pressure or something a little more serious??

Depends very much what you are riding - some bikes are far more sensitive to tyre pressures than others. On the ZZR1100 I always know immediately if the tyre presures need a boost, because it just refuses to turn and grip and squirms all over the place on braking. This isn't the most outstanding feature of a ZZR1100 in the first place, so it only takes a few PSI less than optimum for it to become a complete bastard!

I'll agree with that Mon Ami the ZZR1200 is the same.

Really does depend on the bike. My KTM used to feel dead at the bars. Didn't want to turn in or get up - -4psi was enough.

The Eliminator is a beast at -2psi. Sets up a nasty high speed weave that gets worse and worse until you find a way to loose speed (without loading the front with the front break).

The BMW can be -5 or -6 psi and no impact. Front looks a bit odd is all.

Ta for the info, I put 32psi back in the front and it feels a lot more planted now. I did experience some weave, I believe that this was caused by the front tyre tracking the grooves in the road rather than riding over them.

CBRRRR, You guys out tomorrow night? Have been working eves and weekends recently to make up some hols money, Thought I would bring Lil Sis out on her Gixxer6 for a blast.

Anna,

No more trips to the land of MDF planned as I have finished all that DIY bo**ocks. I have been workin me ass off to get in some money for our hols in three weeks time. It was a shame to miss the last Stir Crazy outing. I have only been out twice since the last. I shall be keeping my eye on the weather today and see about tonight. If all is well at 6.00pm I shall either head towards Alton or Guildford.

As for the falling down juice outing, the holiday is relieving me of all my cash at the moment so maybe when we get back with our splendid tans and sandy parts, we can all fall over dancing in Guildford.

BTW. On Saturday I managed three f%&k off wheelies off the clutch in first!! One was right in front of this jogger whose bra was really not that suppotive. hehehehe!!

TTFN,
Jimbob

That is just a decoy! My day job is something quite different. BBC Weather is suggesting early rain clearing to the east later!!!

On that note.... Who is out tonight?? Or are you all decorating/IKEA/courting quiet shy Guildford girlies (Benny?)/chewing over Duke 749-Racing Dilemma (AJ?)

I fancy a trip over to Alton via (A30) Basingstoke then A339. Stop at Alton then on to Guildford via Farnham (A31), Frimley (A331?) then through the Pirbright bends to Worplesdon and on to Guildford (Ockham or Box)

Looks like my next big night out in the Guild of Ford is gonna be Saturday 27th. All are invited. The boys from Crawley will be attending so it should be entertaining.

(this is, of course, for beer swilling - not riding )

PS - all this rain has turned me into Juha Kankunnen in the car. I'm kinda loving it.
