So come on then, which of these do you give the nod to, and which never nod to you?

1) Learners
2) Scooters
3) Harley riders
4) Gold Wing riders
5) Police bikers
6) Any bike in a city center

I'm only 1, 4 & 5.

Rarely get returned nods from any , but it's good when the BiB return the nod.

1, 3, 4 & 5.

Although nodding at plod seems a little incongruous. What will I be doing next? Inviting Speed Camera's home to meet my family?

Talivan get a middle finger.

I'm not proud, I'll nod to any bugger.

Shit, I've even started doing it in my car!

I nod to the lot, especially police, it shows a) ive seen you, b) I respect you.

passed a talivan on sunday in biker country wales, I was doing 40mph, (thanks to all the cars that flashed me a warning) anf gave the operator a good old hearty wave as i crawled by....

sorry no, it was NSL, I was doing 40 to be blatant that I knew he was already there...

it was on the A44 just east of llandrindod wells, exellent set of hairpins before a popular biker cafe/petrol station, which I THINK is the crossgate services.

Im just wondering now, what speed I went the other way, as I didnt see him on the way there...

NB bikeBiB rode round the car park looking down at tyres (or no plates?) then rode off. no one nicked for zorsts, plates or anything dodgy.. Which was nice.

sorry but...

I know this is irrational but i cant bring myself to nod at Goldwings or PAN Europians .

Ive just got this irrational hatred of them.

the Pan European thing might have something to do with a couple of people i know from the past who ride them!

They are both proper holyer than thou halfwits who really used to pi55 me off

So I assume every other Pan rider is going to have the same attitude

Anything except those BWM C1's, and scooters in Town. The local kids on scooters always nod so I figure that there's hope for them yet

I nod to all cos i'm nice like that, police riders get a wink, thats when i,m aiming my imaginary rocket launcher.

scooter drivers grow up to bigger bikers, so if they nod nod em back.

I agree nodding is in decline, too many R1 riding, no skills, chicken strip etiqute less tossers, who get on my nerves though.

Don't get me started on the bab's, the other Sunday there was a convoy of the buggars on typical post-DAS hornets, fazers etc plodding along nose to tail at 40-45mph behind the cars making no attempt to overtake or 'make progress'

No use of the mirrors either, even when I was sat right behind a couple of them, so I can only assume they were deaf as well Overtaking them was a pain as they were tending to sit near the center of the road, so with no gap I had to take the whole lot in one go

Is it just up here or do all the tossers on R1s have purple headlights and iridium screens ?

Nope they are here as well mate .
Makes me laugh with the BAB's though , they turn up down the bay , park up and strut in thier leathers carrying thier helmets to the chippy then stand round there Fireblades/R1's (ideal BAB bikes ) pointing at various bits yabbering away not having a clue what they are on about, i had a group of shiney boys stand round my bike in tears cos it was covered in flies and general road crap and not shiney like all bikes should be .

We don't get too many of them out in the sticks, the roads are too twisty so their point and squirt tactics don't work.

If any pics of my bike from the BNG show-up it's only that clean 'cos I cleaned 3 weeks worth of dead bugs and old chain lube off the day before... it's not normally that clean

I always like to tell them i'd rather ride it than clean it. I like shiney boys, thats an excellent desciption.
