J1 Did you get Gatso'd???
Now that the damn hoose is finished, I shall be available up until Oct 1st. PS When is Ben's first race again??
BTW I am going on the Edge44 police assessment this Saturday (Dont Laugh). Thought I would make a consious effort towards advanced training. Wonder if they can help me get it up???!?

Rockingham was mental- check out www.gixercrew.co.uk and look under Rockingham write up on the general board, we've all chipped in. Needless to say it was 'eventful' with one of our numbers highsiding in the first session of the day... (good effort huh).
I only managed two offroad expeditions- both at the chicanes when I went in too hot and sat the bike up to take the scenic route! One of which is captured beautifully on the rear-facing 'bike-cam' LOL!

Good effort chaps looks like you had a good day. Sounds like Ben needs some rear sets for the SV? I saw some adjusters that use the standard pegs on e-bay the other day.
CBRRRRR
Is the rideout on the 6th now and not the 7th or are there 2 now? Seen Russ Abbot recently?!

AJ. As luck would have it, I'm picking up some rearsets on Monday for the SV.(wahey) Plus, I get my forks back from Maxton today. The SV's gonna be such a sweet handler by the time I'm done with it. The rear tyre is wearing really nicely now too since I put loads more compression and rebound on the rear ohlins. I'm gonna jack up the back a little though to see if I can make the bike turn a tighter radius than it currently does. Watch this space.

So what have maxton done to the forks then? Do you think you'll get through a season on a couple of sets of tyres? I noticed that Demon Dweeks sell i think cut tyres with different compounds ie qualifing/ smooth curcuit or abrasive etc etc cant remember which makes they are? They are all cut road tyres anyway could get away with that i would have thought. Have you sorted different sprokets out for different tracks?

Okay i'm still up for the comedy club in richmond on the 6th but i have to work on the 7th for 3 to 4 hours so i may do the 6th run and then maybe join you chaps en-route to end up in Marlow for the Pub lunch and chill by the river session? If tats okay mrs??

AJ,
I picked them up this afternoon and they've been completely rebuilt and had several new bits fitted. Namely, new springs, new valving, new caps incorporating rebound and preload and the air gap has been set up for my weight. All in for 480 quid in the end. Not as bad as I was expecting.
As for sprockets, I haven't even looked at different sprockets yet, though I'd like to go up a tooth at the rear since mine won't pull top gear very far even at Snetterton. The tyres are going to be Rennsports RS1s and RS2s unless I can find better for less, but I think that's unlikely.
I can't make the 6th ride out as I'll be at my namby pamby race school at Mallory. I've heard the GSXRs there are restricted to around 70-80 bhp. Nevermind, it's still more than the SV is making.
