Off the road insurance?

Friend of mine is looking for a insurance company to cover his R1 whilst its just in his garage this winter. He cant find any one at all yet, what do you guys do???

Ride me bikes through the winter! although I do admit a car is much nicer if its pi$$ing with rain or icy etc, (plus I love driving my sports cars just as much as biking in truth & I wouldnt own a car other than as a rain cover if I diddnt love 'em too & I much prefer a car for daily use from Oct-March 'ish') but dry sunny winter days blasts are lovely if you are wrapped up properly.

If he is pulling the sunny summer sunday card, he should be able to get his normal policy reduced to just fire & theft for the winter. Prob wont save much tho due to the admin costs etc.
