yes it is a simple resistor mod I beleive the resistor is a different value for a 1000.
Altough if you do this you will remove the reetardation which helps to stop wheelies in first second and third!
Do you really want to do that with 150bhp at the rear wheel?
Harris performance web site has loads of stuff for teh K3 1000 you could also try cresent Suzuki they seem to know a thing or two

That said, I find it hard to understand how some of the guys with Mille's run with much smaller front sprockets and air box kits to boost the acceleration and midrange, when a standard bike with Aprilia race can + chip can have the back wheel spinning up and the front wheel in the air
