Jeeeesuss coming home from a mates BBQ last night on the bike come to a sml roundabout slow down to around 55 ish (dont know what speed as i was looking at road). All exits clear on to the throttle again..... Fecking Landrover pulls out without stopping .

He sees me in time there was no way i could have stopped. He stopped half out in the road, i squeezed by, sigh of relief. That got the heart going, scared the S**t out of me. The moment seemed to last forever. Why didnt the wit stop to look?

'cause he's a wit! Glad to hear you're ok. Also a reminder that even if you've seen him, it's a definite possibility that he hasn't seen you, or isn't even looking.

Steve.

Welcome to my world.
This has happened so many times, and still keeps happening now I have a rapid car, except they panic even more as I would inflict more damage if we hit.

I think that most other road users *expect* you to be doing about 30 or less near to roundabouts.

Be warned, it has crossed my mind that maybe they REALLY genuinely don't see you BECAUSE when they look, you are NOT THERE. Then they go, and you are.... could appear to an insurance company or copper that YOU were at FAULT.

Sorry to be gloomy, but I have had my fair share of near misses too !

Keep it shiney side up.

trouble is - it's too easy to go quick on a bike, and too easy for the numptista to simply not see. I have a fear that bikes will eventually be outlawed, followed by powerful cars.
