A tragic loss... i am a great fan of his, the man who inspired many a motorcyclist to take to the roads and gave the brits hope.
Max respect to steve for all he achieved in motorsport, on and off the track.
Will sink a beer or few for ya!

Very Sad news and condolences to his Family.

Watched him race a few times and see the accident at Rockingham that cost him the title after a magnificent season.

Has Inspired many a Racer and Road Biker

Utterly, Utterly awful news. I watch the bike races only very rarely, but when I did I always watched out for him. One of the few names and faces I know from the sport on TV.

My condolences to his family and friends - another true PetrolHead gone this year.

RIP Steve

Totally gutted !

I just can't believe how many top quality riders we have lost this year ...

Steve Hislop was as fast as anyone in the world on his day, as his performance at Donington last year proved.

Another minute's silence at the next BSB round this year ....

Why? It just doesn't seem fair. We have lost so many greats in the last couple of years. What a top chap. Nice he got the BSB title. RIP Steve.
