Thanks for asking Iggy...... (rather than hijack the other thread I'll post here......)
Nogaro trip was outstanding & a bloody good laugh. We had about 20 mins of rain then spent the last 5 days in baking heat! 1350 miles & far too much wine (and bread rolls!!). The road trip was hilarious - we are all probably banned from France now... apart from me
With only 38 bikes we had the track to ourselves, it was hot when we arrived at 9am but it was in the 90's by lunchtime!! We had one off on the 4th lap - minor injuries only. The day was run as an open session - the track is great, a bit tight for litre bikes - 600's would be ideal - apart from the back straight where you could hit around 150/160. Scary corner before the start/finish which is a banked concrete wall with some silly gym mats stuck on it . There is a complex of 3 hairpins, one of which is on a camber which was a bit scary with foopegs digging in
Having a hotel opposite & going back there for a swim & decent meal at lunchtime was just being spoilt really wasn't it!!! It's a long way to go for a track day & we were totally exhausted from riding on track in that heat, I actually perfer Val de Vienne to Nogaro as a track.
The blade was great - apart from a lag that I have on the throttle that caused me a few moments on the track - my wheelies are improving & I'm sure my Hello Kitty stickers showed an overall performance gain - as did going down one on the front sprocket! My travelling companions are a bunch of pi$$tacking ba$t@rd$ but I do have photographic material with which I fully intend to humilliate them with over the next few weeks. If you want a laugh watch out on the duke crew board!!
Roll on Magny Cours in September - woo hoo - wanna come?
