I'm trying to find where I can buy a big C spanner so I can adjust my chain tension.

On the RVF cos its a single sided swingarm there is a large toothed collar and a pinchbolt that holds the axle in place.

I need a C spanner to turn the collar once I've undone the pinchbolt.
I've trid MPS and Motrax but with no luck.

I could carefully use a drift on one of the collars teeth (as per suggested by the haynes manual) but I don't really have a suitable drift and hammer.
So I'd rather shell out for the correct tool rather than spend money on the incorrect tools.

Cheers for any suggestions.

You could always try a bike dealer. Depending on the place, some actually have very helpful guys working on the spares counter who can advise on what is available, so you don't have to shell out huge sums on the official tool, when a version of the same from a toolmaker will do the same job for less. Try phoning round first, see how helpful they sound.

Your local snapon man will be able to get you one, or snapon also have an online store www.snapon.com/UK/default.asp
It'll be expensive (but top quality) tho' - I'd guess something like 70 quid.

Or how about Demon Tweeks www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/category_homepage.asp?cls=MCYCLE

Cheers. According to one of the magazines I might be able to get the official Honda one for not much money.

Cheers for the links
