Dammit.

My new bike, I've only had it for 4 days and I've gone and dropped it.

I pulled it off its sidestand and due to a camber in the pavement I was on I lost balance and it went over.

One scratched bar end, scraped fairing and a broken brake lever.
I'm most pissed about the panel cos it was pristine (and was 6 years old) but 4 days in my care and it now has scratches in it.
Bugger.
I'm hoping that getting another brake lever won't be hard as the bike is off the road till I do.

I'm so pissed off with myself.

some light scratching.

To be honest it could have been a lot worse.

Most RVF's come with massive great big HONDA stickers exactly where the scratches are.
I'm hoping to be able to get a set of these HONDA stickers to cover over the scatches.
At about 120quid per lower panel I certainly won't be replacing them for some tiny scratches.
Unless I'd told you I had dropped it you probably wouldn't even notice.

Might be worth getting some crash mushrooms to guard against future incidents. I've come close to dropping the SV in a similar manner once. Glad to hear it's fixable.

See my post, LYING B'STARD NEUTRAL LIGHT. Same thing happened to me last Friday. I don't trust the tarmac in this weather either. It gets hot and starts swallowing the sidestand. Hope the damage is not too bad mate. My clutch lever/mirror/gear selector and bar end came to £120. Ive just got to get the paint done now, when the rain cometh.

total so far is 65 quid for the little subframe that holds the fairing and wing mirrors on and 25 quid for a brake lever. The brake lever was purchesed from my local Honda dealership.
Having checked the place where I oredered the mini frame from it should have been about 15quid.

So the total so far is 90 quid and I'm not replacing the wing mirror or indicator that are scratched but functional.

I got some castrol stickers for free from the Honda dealership that might cover up the panel scratches but will look a bit naff.

What annoys me the most is that the bike is off the road till the subframe comes through.
