Wretched four wheeler broke it off today, narrowly missing the rest of me, by undertaking me up the inside as I slowed to let the old bill out of a side turning. Bike now off the road at the menders, no major damage (bracket to mount the gear lever and peg + bent connecting rod), but I'm back on fin' SWT again.

I'd forgotten how much of a pain this incident (I refuse to call it an accident) business is.

Yours,
Seriously Fed Off of Surbiton

He stopped. No plod. No witnesses. Told the insurers as soon as I could. Insurers (Highway) were actually very helpful and pleasant to deal with. If he won't pay the repairers bill directly (that way he knows I'm not making the numbers up) then I'll chase him through the insurance.

Here's hoping for a quick result on this then.

Chin up mate, it could well have been much, much worse.

Gutted today mate. Back on public transport, which would be fine, were it not full of members of the public!

Fixed by FWR for £116. Top folks down there, sorted in very short order and definitely going back there for tyres. They also told me that the handling a bit off and they'd sorted it - fair play to them she did feel very nice on the ride back to work.

Now to extract the money from the numpty that hit me

Looking forward to the ride home now,
Steve.

Hey mate

Sorry to hear of your 'incident'. Hope you and the bike are now both happy again.

Quick question though, you mentioned insurance from Highway? Is that the name of the insurance provider or broker? I'm insured with Highway Insurance for my car, abut didn't know they did bikes too.

Same people?!?

Provider, broker was H&R.
