I was just wondering how many of you out there do some motocross or any off-roading? I've been motocrossing for a while now, and is in fact the reason I got a road bike recently - just to keep riding in the summer when all the track around here close (too hot).
I have to say that I much prefer it to riding on the road - there's soo much more going on, and for me you just can't beat that feeling of doing 30-40 foot jumps.
Anyone else indulge in this sport?

Haven't done any motocross, but have a DT200WR Enduro bike. Rode trials to national level in my yoof, but got the taste for speed

Always fancied having a go, but prefer the freedom of the back lanes rather than being stuck on a track.

I too had a DT200WR, but have swapped it for a Husqvarna WR250. Need to find more pkaces to ride, though. Not that many tracks nowadays, it seems. Too many closing for insurance reasons.

Just back from 2 days at the BMW offroad school - Simon Pavey and Nick Plum were instructing. Bent, bruised, battered, and grinning from ear to ear. Best fun in 25 years of biking.

I should get out more!

yer i love motocross.

have done a Jeffs mayes day plus 2 days in Morocco in March in the atlas mountains. No big jumps though, and I think they call that 'enduro'. great fun when you're going 60mph across the rocky desert..

big respect to the Paris Dakar riders who occasionally top 120mph...sheesh
