I've been with 1st Quote using zenith for the last two years and never had reason to claim, now I'm moving up to a bike I will actually care about I wandered if anyone could recommend a good insureance company ?.

I'm not saying that 1st Quote and zenith aren't good, but have never had to claim.

Dont know if these are any good but I saw this in MCN and it looks interesting for those of us who indulge

Adrian Flux flashguard scheme for an extra £50 gives £6000 in travel expenses if you get a ban may be worth a look.

Carole Nash are really competitive this year - mine was only 350 fully comp on the blade (but then I am about 170years old!!) - I have heard that they have a 'take over the world' strategy this year - buying up smaller companies & also converting people to their insurance by offering cheap premiums..... I wonder if this means that when they dominate the market they will initiate a big hike next year?? I've also heard about 'click quote' or something like that - online quotes - supposed to be good.
They've got us by the nads tho havn't they - (well apart from me lol).
Shop around - it's often worth it.

Surprised you got insurance that cheap considering your age 170 is quite young to own a firehydrant

Im with Lancaster insurance and have been for about 6 years , keep rining round but havent had a quote that has got near theres , garaging the bike and living in the sticks help a bit though

I've had ins. with Equity Red Star for the last few years. Had a claim a couple of years ago so lost most of my NCB and then last year got done for speeding.

BTW - Bike is a Ducati 916, I'm an old git and have been riding for 26 years.

Anyway renewal came through at, IIRC, around £600 (before I told them about 6 extra pts!) so I shopped around and Carole Nash charged me £406 inc legal cover and breakdown/accident (UK & overseas), funny thing was that the policy is with Equity Red Star - Carole Nash tell me that it's because they get bigger discounts!

They also say that they are going into car insurance so worth trying them when that's ready.

Still think it's expensive but way cheaper than any other quote I've had.
