Riding home last night on the A32 toward Reading and a bike going the other way (dual carridgeway) at about a tonne was being ridden by a bloke in Jeans and T Shirt.

No gloves, no jacket, no boots. FFS I know it was hot but removing your skin aint exactly going to help cooling.

Thank God he wasn't doing a ton, they're faster than these new fangled metric things you know!

After the GP on Sunday (if you go) watch how many riders will be blatting down the M1 at 100+ in T shirts and shorts.

I was in the Royal Berks the other day seeing a client and there were 3 riders who were admitted all only wearing T shirts and shorts. Bloody suicidal.

Sorry, forgot to point out that he was on a 1000+ CC machine so unless he owns an insurance company should know better.

I see it as a form of natural selection
:tongue_in_cheek_smiley:

I work in London and eveynight I see pretty young things on scooters in miniskirts. Very pleasing to the eye and I know they not likely to be doing high speeds but 15 denier tights and strappy sandals versus tarmac at 30 mph, I know who I'd put my money on.

Saw a guy this afternoon fully overtaking me on a bend on a dual carriageway, knee half down into the corner, 90+mph easily, full throttle, wearing a short pair of nylon shorts, tight white T shirt and a helmet....

How stupid can you be?!?!

I've got an admission to make, I bort a husky 410 off a mate this weekend and rode it home in a t shirt and jeans.

Oh and in '96 I rode from Monaco to Avignon in shorts t shirt, flip flops and no lid, at a ton plus most of the way, stupid I know, but loved it...

Yep - see this every day. Difficult not to jump on the soapbox and preach at them about decent kit when stopped at the lights. Problem is I'd probably just appear as a condescending.
