I've got my direct access test on monday and I was wondering , if I pass will I have the same 6 points and you're out restriction that car drivers have these days.

When you pass a car test if you tot up more than 6 points in your first 2 years then you'll be banned under the totting up system. After two years this then changes to the usual 12 points.

Is this the same for new motorbike licenses?

Reason I ask is that I already have 3 points from car driving. If I'm limited to 6 points total (on the bike) then I can see my lisence dissapearing very quickly.

As far as I am aware it applies to bikes as well.

Looks like you will be riding very carefully for the next two years.

I believe I read here (or in Speeding and Plod) that the 6-point limit applies only to your first entitlement ? Have a Search to see what you can find

Whoozit is correct, the 6 points rule is only for you first licence, so it will not apply to your bike licence, but surely you weren't thinking of speeding were you ? :-)
