Excellent value for money. I just wonder what other road users make of a bike blatting past them, closely followed by plod on a Pan, closely followed by another bike, all making "progress".

Chaps, I presume I'd be nuts not to remove the micron before booking myself in for this.

Apparently not, a guy I work with booked this up and asked about non-standard exhausts etc and the response was that they were not interested in the legality of the bike as it was a day aimed at teaching safe riding. However, a dangerous bike may be a problem (bald tyres etc)

Loud exhausts, small plates and even dark visors are not a problem. As the BiB said when I did Bikesafe a month ago, these never killed anyone. They will however check your machine for roadworthiness so do a tyre condition and pressure check, adjust and lube the chain and check generally that there isn't anything loose.

Mind you, you should be doing these things once a week or so anyway.

Excellent attitude from the BiB. Better get myself signed up then.

Cheers.

However you *will* be arrested if you turn up with bunny ears (or any variant of helmet accessory).

If you ever catch me riding with bunny ears, don't worry about arresting me - just shoot me.

There is supposed to be a bikesafe at sparkford soon , must find out when its is and go along , down in the southwest ive found most bike plod to be very friendly Trevor Harper was a top cop always stopped for a chat and never said anything about cans etc , unfortunatly he died from a tumor a few years ago

Did this yesterday and concur with the above comments.

The Bib were a great bunch and a good laugh. Sage advice and pleased to hear I was already doing most of the stuff they advise.

Great to see motorists making the usual dangerous/stupid/daft manouvers that I see every day - but this time with an on-duty traffic cop on a solo!! We had to stop on more than one occasion so he could 'have a word'

Top day, well worth 25 notes (lunch included and all the tea/coffee/soft drinks you can manage) and with luck, will keep you that much safer.

That in itself has got to be worth the money!
