About 2 months ago my mate threw his Blade up the road!

Today we went along to DK motorcyles and asked to take out a GSXR-1000 and a 03 blade they only had a K2 gixxer but that was understandable looks like K3's are flying through the doors.

It started badly ! my mate managed to drop the blade on the 3rd roundabout we got to
as the bike was still ridable and my mate was ok we carried on.

What a bike those GSXR1000's are my god I felt so secure and confident I'm sure I could have had my knee down in a straight line. The bike handled so well I just couldnt belive how solid it felt round bends it felt like I couldnt crash it!!

I am faser on my 750 because I can wind the grip round to the stop but on the thou I was mainly in higher gears on part throttle(still moving quite quickly ) but effortlesly
I'm sure I could use more throttle with a bit of practice but the first time I tried to wind it right back I felt the front come up It realy shouldn't have at the speed I was going
Still dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing but I was smiling anyway

as for the 03 blade I couldnt get on with it in such a short space of time. It felt liek a toy so small after the gixxer. It felt gittery round the bends and never gave me any confidence that I could push it where the gixxer just said go for it!
may have been suspention set up etc dont know would need more time on it

As for the sales guy he was fantastic I cant speek highly enogh for DK. when we returned the attitude was it happens my mate has had to pay £500 but we knew that was a condition of crashing and I think its fair enough!

he was very helpful and got me a brilliant quote for the Gixxer on insureance! anyone want to buy a mint GSXR750

I will but my next bike from these guys. if only all dealers were as helpful and competant(and understanding of small misshaps)

my mate bought a blade anyhow must be mad but I suppose chances are he wont crash 4 blades!

pesty, amazed that DK were so relaxed about the test-ride damage. Good on 'em.

Would be interested in where the insurance quote was from. I (briefly) looked at buying a K2 GSX-R1000 last year but insurance was scary. Went for a K2 GSX-R750 instead.

Yeah, I bought a TDM850 from them a few years back. Great service. They even gave me the tie-down straps so I could get it home in the pickup!
