Balls of your feet on the pegs, both cheeks off the seat, and stick your knee out. Finally watch where your going and don't bin it.

the ultimate angle of lean is where the pegs scrape, if you go any further, your likely to run out of tread, or touch bodywork instead.
If kneedown is what you want, change your body angle, chest on tank, push knee FORWARD and out.
you can scrape knee without going near the footpegs.

yup, get your bum hanging off the bike, then stick your knee out. You may find your toes sliders touch down too. beware the big grin on getting your knee down, you will find yourself addicted

I was always told that to get your knee down you had to lean the bike just that bit further than you think you can (i.e when you think you about to fall off).

Just lean that little bit more and bang - you'll get the old boy down. Although you might feel a bit silly, having your leg wide open whilst hanging off the bike is the best way. One of my mate's back in the day used to get his knee down on his RD350 (120 section tyres) - the bike used to almost upright, and his used to lean well off it with his legs wide open.

If he could do it on that, then any modern bike should be more than capable...

ha ha, fair enough I had an even better elbow down one somewhere but I can't find it now.

Anyway thats a lot lot more talent & skill than I've got and if I tried that sort of lean angle im sure the result would be similar to my oil induced off of the other day ie.......

oh bugger.....

A chum of mine, with a Kwak ZX6R, gets his knee down by hanging off the bike like a monkey, whilst it is practically upright. He looks a total arse. Zero cool points.

Knee down with a difference not me though, looks a bit pointless if you ask me

I go in for the foot down style, but with more power this is the way to get it round a corner....

yeah I've got a soft spot for 'em too, lovely growl.

(I'm pretty sure its Ben Bostrom on that one)

Shame that the new euro laws mean that from this month no new ones can be sold unless they have been registered pre mid june.

A sad loss but then other than the gixxer 750 the 750 market is pretty much dead in the uk.

I can only get my knee down by going the wrong way round a roundabout .Even then it takes time as i think the bike wants to wash out , still i aint too fussed fast enough without putting my knee on the deck and knowing my luck i would find a pothole mid bend and wreck my knee

the wrong way round?? hee hee, that will scare the oncomers!

I videod myself last night, I will upload it tonight and it might give some ideas re lean angles and hanging off. Just dont try and follow the transit van round like me, its not big or clever.
