Im off to cadwell in july (triumph only trackday), but Ive watched perf bikes video, and theres quiet a few corners, and blind ones, so Im paranoid I will over cook some of the bends, or forget which bend is next

Is there anyone done it and got any specific advice? I really dont want to drop it!

Cadwell is a fantastic track some of the corners are a bit tricky but have run off but 2 certainly do not.

The hairpin & barn corners (I think are the names)are the 2 with bugger all run off, but thankfully they are slow bends just go careful into them but power out.

Be carefull over the mountain too, wheelies are a certainty but be careful when landing it.

I would say for the 1st 2 sessions just plod about and learn the track. Only then up the pace a bit.

Sorry to sound doom and gloom but if you're worried book another circuit, IMO Cadwell Park is the UK's most dangerous and un forgiving bike circuit. It's all well and good for BSB to have air walls and extra padding but the harsh reality is that is for club racing / track days there are parts of the track where your only run off is into the armco. I have raced there numerous times in the past and still feel a cold shudder when people talk about using it for track days. It is certainly a very challenging and exciting circuit and the rewards for getting it right are a great buzz (in the same way that the TT is a great rush for the riders) but if you get it wrong (and lets face it it's fairly likely) the end results can be painfull.

My advice would be to travel down the road a bit further and maybe go to Snetterton for the first few times, it's more open has better run offs and is better suited as a baptism into circuit riding. What ever you decide good luck and if you drop me an email I'll happily send you the relevant pages from the UK circuit bible.

Thinking a bit more is it the full circuit you're riding or the short one?

I agree mel, cadwell sounds too much, its full circuit too.
But this is a triumph ONLY organzied event, and thats the circuit its at. Cant change it. I will take it easy. (its only £89 too, bargain)

The european superbike school are running the show, so I cant see it being a free for all blast.

anyone know what they are like as a school?
