Can't wait, 1995 Speed Triple in orange. Will be a bit of a change from the GPZ500.

Denny, you know *nothing* will come close to the 1500cc V twin with open pipes....... but no doubt it'll be pretty bloody excellent! go for it Mr Triple.

Picked it up last night, went out for a blast and still have the grin!! It has dual carbon cans and children stop and point... It helps that it is bright orange as well

Tycho, hopefully after passing my Direct Access test (booked for end of June ) I was thinking of getting the GPZ500. So being a bit cheaky. What was it like? is it a good bike for a beginner? any recommendations etc.

Good luck with your new bike.

I had it for 6 months after passing my test and loved it. I think I had to learn to handle the bike as it has less power than sportsbikes. I have been on a few rideouts with friends and don't have too much difficulty keeping up. Went out with a 636 ninja, 2 Duke 996's, a Monster 900 last week and while they weren't going flat out they were still making progress and I had my work cut out but managed to keep them in sight. I loved it as a first bike, you can throw it around and it's not too bad on insurance either. I think whatever you get you'll love it.

Hope that has helped.
