My zorst sounds nice. Meaty, deep tone. But I get the nagging feeling that it's too loud. You can hear it 200 yards IN FRONT.

Dilema. Do I sell it, refit the original (and modify it a bit)... or keep the loud one? personally I reckon the new one looks great as well, but just waiting for a VDRN, or complaint from my neighbours.

So it's personal satisfaction vs consideration for other people that I don't even like anyway.

Choose...

I would keep it. I have a bunch of Max Power pups living in the same road as me and i either like to make a proper noise past their house with my Blade with a Micron exhaust or really annoy them as i burble past in the Cerbera.

CARL

A more enlightened government would insist that all bikes have loud exhausts on safety grounds for the very reason you have highlighted.

Therein lies the answer, if you are concerned about safety you MUST break the law.

Hi guys

Well IMHO - The FIRST thing you should do on any bike, is junk the standard stuff & put aftermarket kit on, louder the better.
The Akro system on my blade isn't going to set off car alarms like my VTR with ART's but it would be criminal to leave my poor baby with a standard 'sewing machine' effect.

I agree, I fitted an ART to my Hornet 600, can't beat that can for a proper loud burble.........
Well priced too.

Must have sounded like roll'in thunder on a VTR too!

ummm, well, the original minus the catalytic converter actually sounds fantastic - so I wish I'd done this earlier & saved a load of money. Also slightly repositioned the zorst for a few mm more ground clearance, and removed the ugly heat shields that spoilt the look.

Result! V&H to go on ebay, or in the loft.
