it aint what you got its the way that you ride it. zx6r is a perfectly respectable machine, no matter how exotic if you like what you ride and it gives you a buzz who cares. had more fun on gsxr 400, than my tl1000s as didnt care if i crashed it and it flew.
many big bike riders are unconfident of there machines and get very little out of them. I am faster on a gsxr 600 that i borrowed while mine was in being serviced, than my tl1000. cant sell it though as sounds soo sexy. So many a 600 will trounce a larger machine, except in a straight line and we can all nail a throttle.

True, I had a zxr 400 (I think, it was green and a 400 okay) trying to lodge itself in my end can last weekend, though some of the tighter twisty sections.

Finally persuded me I really need set up the suspenders on the mille properly if I'm going to be pushing it that hard.
btw what is it with the aprilia technical writers using terms like hydraulic adjustment with the extended shock absorber for compression damping and hydraulic adjustment with compressed shock absorber for rebound damping.
We get a lot of them up here, usually either fireblade or R1 pilots, and they're a buggar to overtake on the straights, much easier to go around on the corners.

That said they don't seem to be as bad letting me past on the mille compared to the CBR.
Isn't everybody faster on somebody elses bike

I'm but a lowly SV rider of only a few months. I intend to keep it until I can ride it properly, so that could be some time
It seems plenty quick enough around London Town (the scutters are quickly left behind) and not exactly sluggish out of town (big hello to the BMW who thought he'd catch me on the way home tonight - unlucky ) When I grow up, a Mille is definitely on the shopping list.
Steve.
