tinting film on helmet visors

Hello people

I am now going to have more time to go Karting and have decided to take part in outdoor events about 0nce every few weeks.

As this would be outdoors and with the summer (hopefuly)coming up would it be possible to use the tinting film on the visors instead of geting a tinted visor. I have some tinting film left over from doing a mates car, so it would cost me nowt.

Dunno as quite a lot of visors are actually compound curves (ie. in both directions at once). I don't know if window film would be able to do that? The stick in inserts are only about a fiver each I think. Might just be easier to buy some.
