I'd leave them on as some wombat will only try and chip you when you come to sell the bike.

I was just about to write a post asking what peeps thought of thier ZX-6R's as I am hoping to buy one in the coming weeks. I'm just holding off till I get insurance sorted out.

I'm looking at a 2002 with delivery miles on it. I would be very thankful if you could give me your thoughts on the bike.

Oh I say take them off

I thought mine was bloody awful I'm afraid. I bought a brand new import g1 (so obviously things may have changed) and within the year I had it the camchain tensioner broke and the gearbox fell apart. Both things were fixed under warranty but the build quality was terrible. It looked absolutely fantastic mind... until you rode it and realised that green wheels are impossible to keep clean. Lastly, and the thing than ruined it for me, is that the suspension just felt cheap and the front felt vague and felt as though it would wash out all the time as it understeered a bit. I didn't realise how badly it handled (on stock setting admitedly) until I got rid of it and bought a y2k blade. Also the blade is so much better put together and because I bought a 2000 model blade in 2001 didn't cost me much more than a 600. If I were you I'd ride all the current crop of 600s and see which one you like. Sorry if I sound a bit negative but I loved kwaks before I bought the 6r

Regards,

Mark

The ZX6 is a bloody good bike nothings fallen off yet and has survived winter exteramly well considering my phobia of washing it is less dull then the honda cbr of the same age (2000) that i also had a go on the engine is a peach had trouble with it drinking oil but was sorted under warranty its now done 23,000 miles the noise from the air box on full chat is addictive combine that with a race can and you are on . Also the bikes got a dynojet kit fitted . very happy with it but its threatening my licence so im having to learn some restraint . might get another but quite like the speed trifle
