Went to bed last night... my old DT125 LC Mk2 (1984)outside, sandwiched between the jeep and the front of the house .... Woke up this morning.... No Bike !

The anoying thing is Ihave been doing bits to it all winter ... it was almost 100% origional again, 5000 miles on the clock... whats it worth ? £500 - 800 Max...

DT125? ooh there ace for kids to go blasting round fields on! its an ideal joyride bike. Its not suprising it would get nicked.

I suggest you check the local waste ground, it should be dumped when it ran out of petrol, or possibly burned out.

if you get another, chain it to the towing eye on the jeep? but remember to unlock it before driving off...

Thanks for the advice ... the rear wheel of the bike was chained to the chassis of the bike so it cannot be ridden.

Already been through the local fields etc in the Jeep.... no newly stolen bikes on the scene.
problem is with a bike that costs peanuts... the insurance value less excess buys me a new pair of gloves and a can of coke !
so I loose a few hundred quid to save my Insurance premium next time around, and try to hold onto the ncd that I have.
