I am considering chopping my Monster 1200S in for a Diavel V4. The Monster is great and only has 5k on the clock, just had the belts done with new tyres. Got a few shiny bits on it, that I will take off.

Thing is the Monster is quite "do everything bike", but I have slowed down a lot these days and my chances of track action is low (not that I couldn't get the Diavel out on track).

I test rode the Diavel and it was very good, comfortable, lots of power, less of the L-Twin shove and you do need to work it a bit more.

Anyone got one? Or even better moved from a Monster?

For the head down days, I still have a sports bike.

That’s not a v4.

It looks fantastic though. I should think the Lamborghini edition wheels may be expensive if there is such a thing and that's them.

Someone on PH posted earlier this year, or late last year that they'd just bought a new one. It was in a fantastic dark red metallic shade. How you find the post and therefore the PHer that posted it may not be easy.

Google 'pistonheads Diavel' or something like that?

Not rode a Diavel but had a 1200 Monster and a 1260 Multistrada Pikes Peak. I feel the Diavel would be much better suited with the L-Twin as opposed to the V4. The 1260 motor is a peach.

Also if you've slowed down a bit then the torque from the 1260 will be a lot better than having to chase the revs of the V4. Plus a cruiser should be a V-twin imo. But I guess it would be a bit similar to your Monster hence looking at the V4? I would really need to try both to make my mind up, if it were me.

Local Ducati dealer had a publicity event last weekend. I think you could book a test ride on much of their range. Unfortunately I only realised when I was riding past so was too late to book.
I really like the look of the new Diavel. The exhaust system looks awesome & the engine sound is great. I would definitely buy one if I could afford it!
