Who makes Kevlar jeans with a panther type logo on the back pocket ?

I was watching the video review for the Adventure Spec Super Shirt and the stunt rider was wearing Kevlar jeans which failed dismally

They blocked out the Jean manufacturer's logo on the beltline but you could clearly see a panther's type logo on the back pocket

Googling Furygan confirms the logo is theirs

Not cheap jeans, not a big crash and a fairly lightweight guy wearing them

It doesn't inspire confidence

Haven't the jeans done their job, in that the actual protection layer protected the rider? I have to admit I'm not sure what I should expect from Kevlar jeans in that situation...

Exactly. In the video it was the shirt being tested/demonstrated, the denim layer on the jeans is sacrificial, it’s the unerrdlayers that protect.

At 5.30 ish the guy even says "through the denim, through the Kevlar" and taps the hard secondary protection he's wearing under the jeans

The hard pad - which is not part of the jeans - is the only reason he hasn't got a significant injury

Yeah I would expect to be replacing kevlar jeans after all but the slowest speed slides.

What do we think of the supershirt? Sounds good for the price if it's really as good as a jacket for sliding.

I haven't got one (yet) but I like the idea of it for warm rides at low speed. I have a bunch of their other kit and rate it quite highly so I don't expect the Supershirt to be any different.

I thought it might be good for hot evenings or if I ever do a trip to Europe, limited use case for the money though.

Personally, any ride will invariably involve a double carriageway, NSL or motorway to access some roads - I would always defer to a jacket.

It's not cheap

I'm not sure the back protection is long enough or that it wouldn't pull up in a slide
