2017 KTM Superduke GT - Top end noisy
Discussion
I appreciate only people who have owned this model bike can really comment, and I don't want this to turn into a KTM quality issue thread - the LC8 has been incredibly reliable so far.
But my bike has always sounded like the engine is quite noisy. Almost like loose cam chain type of noise.
I saw another bike of the same year and model recently and his was exactly the same he said it's just how these are.
Thought I'd check on here for any other owners to advise. It's not due a valve clearance service for 5000 miles so I'm praying it's just a characteristic of the LC8 engine and is nothing to worry about.

The KTM UK forums might be the best place to ask if you haven't already

I've put 30k on my 1290 and it sounds like a bag of spanners compared to a 4 cylinder. I worry about it from time to time but it sounds no different to other 1290s I've had a go on.
I think they are all like that sir.
As far as I can see online the lc8 is pretty reliable and nothing was flagged as an issue on my last valve service.
