This was in MCN recently. Seems like a lot of bike for the money https://www.ironcitymotorcycles.co.uk/newmotorcycl...

Apart from a Ducati it’s still the most expensive super naked so not exactly a bargain.

I can't comment on the ZH2 but it's a superb engine in the H2 SX. Definitely a lot of bike for the money.

Nobody is buying MV. The KTM maybe but nowhere near list and likely less than the £15k kwak. The m1000 with carbon wheels is two classes above the kwak. Other than that yes you are absolutely right and the kwak that never gets into top 5 on group tests is right up there.

It’s no better in the flesh. The headlamp and dash wouldn’t be out of place on a kids toy.

I test rode one this year having always discounted it as I don’t really see it as a sports naked, but oh my, what a fun bike!

it also handled better than I expected it too on the road, but it’s all about that engine!

Would I buy one, I think I would.

For me, the H2 doesn't make any sense being naked, heavy & very ugly. I'd have a H2SX absolutely though.

I suppose its akin to the K1300S and the K1300R, but (contradicting myself) the R did actually sell ok and I think I would have had one (I got a S as a present from the Mrs so didn't get chance!). Maybe the R could tour ok?

Seen this and thought it was cheap H2's not other variants. which since I bought my H2 seems to have grown.

I want a touring bike but dislike the touring version of the H2. just don't like the lights on the lower fairing

I very nearly bought an Z H2 before I bought my Streetfighter. It was really fun and worth buying just for the noises. However, it was quite a heavy thing, and although it hid it well, it wasn't a patch on the Streetfighter for feeling good.

.

... so buy an H2SX, not an H2SXSE. The non-SE version doesn't have the cornering lights! thumbup

Other thing I thought I would never want is radio speakers on a bike. Apart from a HD the BMW RT which I've test rode and liked. Just saving now

Definitely a tourer requirement rather than a sport tourer requirement.

I was in Iron City at the weekend and they didn’t appear to have any of these in stock from what I could see. They did have cracking deals on ZX10’s though at just over £13k

Why? I am, but aside from that, the KTM disconnect will probably be a good thing. Granted production will have a short term blip while they get themselves back up together but they are in good shape, 2024 was a bumper year for MV in sales, they’ve learnt a bit from ktm in respect of parts back up, the product is largely awesome, warranties generous at 4 years, there has probably never been a better time to buy one.

The Brutale is over £27k and does nothing better than the other super naked options. I'd be surprised if they sell more than a handful a year in the UK.

All bikes in that league are arguably more bike than anyone can use on the road but the MV’s are beautifully built and finished, exclusive and the F4 engine is fabulous in the way it goes and sounds, the attention to detail is also superb, it’s an emotive experience all the way and part of what gives them the charm and character they are known for.

I don’t agree no one is buying them, it’s 25k for the entry 1000RS, it may not objectively offer more per £ in performance, but all these bikes are separated by degrees, very little in the way of functionality, it’s the whole package that makes up the experience and that can be subjective.
