Interphone Ridesync
Discussion
I currently connect my phone to my Cardo and listen to music/ directions with the phone in my pocket.
I’ve never seen the Interphone thingy but having read about it am I wrong in thinking it will give me android auto on the screen and that my phone connects to the Interphone thing and the Interphone thing connects to the cardo?
Has anyone used one of these things? Am I misunderstanding how it functions?
I like the Cardo unit but it would be nice to have a visible map for satnav and see who’s calling before I answer. I don’t want to mount my phone on the bars, prefer to keep it in my pocket.

You are correct in your appraisal of the Ridesync. However, you can keep your phone paired to the Cardo while the Roadsync mirrors your phone screen, to a certain extent, allowing you to see navigation, music track name and so on. You don’t need to pair the Cardo to the Ridesync
For less than half the price of the Ridesync you could dip your toe in the water and try the Aoocci C3, currently available with a discount code on their website for about £74.
I have the C3 on my Triumph Trident 660. There, life is slightly more complicated, because my phone and comms are both paired to the bike, so that I can use the handlebar buttons to control the music.

Do they (or anyone else) do a larger version ? I can't see the point of mounting something the size of my phone - when I could just mount my phone
But when I off-road and I'm standing, it's hard to see, quickly enough, which turning to take, on a phone sized screen

A lot of these have appeared lately. Every motorcycle youtube channel seems to have been given one to test, from one Chinese company or another. Some of them have discount codes.

I fitted the Aooci C5 to my Street Twin, it came with tyre monitoring sensors and two small dashcam type cameras for front and rear.
Everything works seamlessly for me, sat nav directions, music and phone calls through my cheap £20 intercom.
I paid just under £117 for it, price fluctuates a bit due to exchange rates.
It was very easy to fit, especially as I had a Healtech Thunderbox already fitted which I run my auxiliary lights off. Otherwise it is just a matter of locating a convenient switched live. The only downside to fitting is the cables are quite long so I spent more time arranging the cables so that they were tidy and hidden, not so easy on a naked bike.
As none of my bike gloves are touch screen friendly I also bought some small stick on pads that stick on the end of the glove finger so I do not have to remove my glove if I want use the Carplay unit, they were £3 for six and so far have lasted over 600 miles without peeling off.
The unit seems to be quite waterproof as well, it has survived four soakings so far, two from washing the bike and the other two from heavy rain.
