Anyone know what a warrany is?

Apart from they can’t spell this was my wife’s bike not mine, she is definitely Mrs not Mr.
She one owned the bike for a couple of months before getting a refund from the dealer for a fault they couldn’t seem to fix.

So apart from not being able to spell and writing to the wrong person about a bike they haven’t owned for over a year they are spot on.smilesmile

but , the question is, despite all the points you've raised, will you be extending the warrany?

It's arguable whether they even do that, if you go by the experience my wife and I had buying a brand new T120 Bonneville. I wasn't expecting a foot massage as part of the buying experience, but I'd never felt more like a number on a sales quote target, all the way through and inclusive of final handover. A combination of that, the woeful aftersales service you mention (routine service and warranty stuff) and some non Triumph/Dealership factors all went together to result in us no longer owning said T120.

Shame, as we really want to get behind the brand, and did so with our wallet.

That goes for almost every dealer of every marque I've dealt with. Once they have your money, they don't care. And with Toyota, because the dealer didn't do the transaction of the car and was all online, they didn't give a st. Pretty much get thrown the keys and left to it.

My local Triumph were fantastic during buying and the first few services. The last few though were stingers. Ended up buying two services within a short period because of the valve check service so they had over a grand in one year where I barely did 2500 miles. Then last service they noted chain was dry and needing adjusting (I'd just had a fast ride with a few mates so expected it) . Before they'd do it free but not now and they didn't bother. I MOT'd it somewhere else the next week and they picked it up and adjusted it for me FOC. Next time I won't bother taking it to Triumph and he can service it for a fraction of the cost.
