I need (ok want...) a new helmet, but prices are through the roof since I last got one.

Helmet City have some offers but not for what I want (Shoei Neotec).

Any places worth having a look at? I'm happy to buy online as I know the fit will be fine with the Neotec.

I found motocard decent on price, not sure what their returns policy is like as i think they are mainland Europe based.

Bought one at the Motorcycle live show from Helmet City as it turned out, negotiated from 229 down to 180, realise Shoei are more expensive but will give you some idea on what percentage they will drop if you ask, otherwise just search internet if you've made up your mind on what you want, good luck.

I like Helmet City.

Best time is probably around when the new colours or updated helmets come out. Not sure when that is, and obviously you'll have to be happy with an old version.

I tested helmets at MCL but they didn't have the colour I wanted

I usually find the best price is on ebay

Currently there are various discount codes on there too

I bought my Arai RX7V at the Motorcycle Sow in London a few years ago and negotiated a sizable discount.

Ultimately it’s the most important safety thing so it needs to be right.

I bought a helmet from Chromeburner, great price, and you don't pay import/VAT on safety equipment, BUT, the helmet developed an issue during the first year and it was impossible to contact them. Tried several times and they never responded, had to pay a UK company to look at it and supply the parts needed in the end. CB look great but I wouldn't go anywhere near them again.
