I mean what are they thinking. First Elvis, and now this?

I wonder what the average age of their Product Design team is... they seriously need some fresh blood in there.

Triumph must think that they can sell them.

I tend to associate him with Harley Davidsons.

That is embarrassing, maybe it's just for the US market, but who wouldn't feel a right tool on that?

What's the age group of people who buy their bikes? I'm guessing when ten year olds start buying a good number of their bikes they'll bring out a Swifty version for them and the op.

What is your problem. He had a connection with Triumph. Why should they not capitslise on it?

I don't see the issue either. Triumph has a herritage, and they're highlighting it.

I think they did it to commemorate the big jump he did 50 years ago and they released some limited editions at a big celebration in the States which "Evil's" son rode in a parade. I don't think it's only Rocket 3s either? I've seen a picture of a Bonneville (which is the model he made the jump on).

Quite funny how it's triggered so many on here hehe

They should strap the designer of it to a R3 and attempt to jump Cheddar Gorge.

Fugly bike.

Triggered is overstating it, but it seems like an odd choice given how few people would remember him or care these days.

It also doesn’t look very good.

Can you imagine how much effort it's going to take to turn the big wheel on the side of the parking unit to make a Rocket 3 go anywhere? yikesyikesyikesyikes

Why they have chosen a R3 is beyond me, i don't recall Evel doing stunts on a R3, T150/T160.

They should do a Bonnie flat tracker ish version. Something a bit like mine from 1980. love

It’s probably age appropriate given that the Average age of a UK biker is now 56 years!

Are those wheels off a Japanese bike? A Yamaha?

It's a lot more tasteful than their limited edition runs they did on the Daytona and Street Triple. They were ganting.

I remember him more for the crashes using an inappropriate bike

Is that the memory they are going for ?

Agree, I don't think anyone is 'triggered', I was just highlighting that it was a very odd special edition. Along with the Elvis bike, they seem to be catering to the over 60's/70's. Personally I think they could do better with someone/something that has relevance within the last 20 years.
