Verge motorcycle - one of one in the UK
Discussion
I was out in the Wapping Wharf area of Bristol a few weeks ago and passed this. I couldn't believe my eyes, so did a loop back and spoke to the owner. He explained this is the only one in the country, presumably costing a LOT of money.
From a design point of view I thought that rear hub was impressive, and all those high voltage cables visible made the thing look quite powerful and lithe. The guy used a piece of plastic which looked like a credit card to fire it up instead of a key...
The stats are impressive;

Designed in the Estonia or Latvia he told me, can't remember which.

Photo 1 suggests that a matching wheelchair is also available, for when it spits you off.From a design point of view I thought that rear hub was impressive, and all those high voltage cables visible made the thing look quite powerful and lithe. 1200nm torque ! That’s mental
I’d question that figure given a Tesla model s ‘only’ has 1400.Krise said:

Looking at its 0-100 time, it's no faster than a mid 2000's superbike, the limiting factor being traction at low speeds. And it's unlikely to have a significant top speed much like modern EV cars.
Putting the motor in the hub provides more space for batteries however it'll be a heavy unsprung mass which won't help it handle. So no surprise on the cruiser-esque styling.

Got to be some porky pies in those figures… 1200nm of torque and 233 miles of range….
Don’t buy it.
Apparently so, the Ultra has "up to 1200nm" while the Pro "only has up to 1000nm"Don’t buy it.
These are manufacturers quoted figures but from independent sources.
Be intersting to see if you could measure it and see how accurate it really is but if that is an accurate figure, it could give you whiplash if you weren't paying attention when you wound the throttle open.

This review seems to confirm what others are saying about how they expect it to ride.
If you are rich enough to have multiple bikes and splash £40k on one then why not?

Using *very approximate numbers my 1290 KTM will put about 1000nm to the rear wheel in 1st gear. A gearbox is after all a torque multiplier.
(* probably a good way out but you get the idea)
