Looks to be a good thing so far. Wonder what the prices will be? Looks to piss all over the overpriced CRF300 on specs.

Very interested in these. I have always had a bit of a soft spot for the DRZ and should have bought one years ago when I could have.

I'd have thought the Duke 390 would've been more of a comparable hooning, pratting about on bike than the Triumph with the same engine.

Yellow too, although it looks like it could use a bit more work on the graphics kit make it a bit more like the older MX styled ones.

Looks good, if it's been done right this could be a really good seller, especially in dual sport configuration.

That looks a great option for people looking for something more "soft roader" biased than the usual KTM/Betaesque offerings.
Canada/US has a huge dual sports market and although the tank is a little smaller than might be ideal, it looks a cracking proposition

KTM doing the same with the 390. BMW with a 450GS. Looks like a good time to be looking at 400s

They all seem to be pretty heavy though. If you're going to be doing any off-roading you'd want it to be <350lbs /160kg, ideally closer to 300lbs / 136kg

CRFs are about 145kg…. So DRZ is about 10kg more and a lot more bike? I read how / how high the weight is carried makes a lot if difference. Light weight does make like a lot easier rhough, at least for novices like me. Have often found myself trawling ebay for DRZs… always thought they would be a great tool.

And that's in showroom spec, before you've ditched the exhaust and odds and sods to lighten it up a bit further.

What are those single round LED headlamps like for lighting the road up?

My only experience of them is having one shining into my eyes outside a local supermarket while I was a pedestrian.

I'm not sure about European versions, but my CRF450RL is 132KG with a full tank, ready to go. That 20KG difference will be noticeable.

I had a sp370 for a week , went and got my kh400 back , also had a ts250 m & was ok , but traded that pretty quick for kh400 .
I hated seeing them mucked up to the eyeballs after a day down the local lanes .

Impressive. Isn’t the 450 quite a different bike to the 250s and 300? Anyway, my figure came from google and not weighing scales, so I can’t be sure of my comparison!

Yes it is, although comparable to what we are talking about in this thread.

So glad this is back - the DRZ is going to be absolutely rock solid reliable compared to many other offerings in the market and they have a real charm.

I may get one as been a few years, but had an SP370, DR350SE and DRZ400 over the years. Not the lightest or the fastest but AK47/C90 type robust.

Even my 6 year old 2 stroke enduro bike has 2 modes.
