Anyone ever bought a bike with one, anything I should know etc etc

It's a lowering kit, American made, decent quality apparently; the one you have is -1 so will be 1 inch lower than standard.

If it has a grease nipple (some do, some don't) a shot of decent quality grease every now and then will pay dividends.

Yeah they're decent. Popular on adventure bikes (like your Africa Twin) to lower the seat height. They usually have a nipple in which you can grease the bearings, just keep adding grease until it seeps out the side.

You’re a star Rubin - great news as this bike will be doing a lot of commuting with me so proper foot going down is never a bad thing. -1 is just fine with me wouldn’t want more than that

I have a great big pot of grease at home so good to know

Great confirmation as per other reply, good to know and good news they are decent

Grease wise I’ll aim to check it whenever I do the chain which is every 2 weeks or so

If you haven't got one get a proper grease gun, otherwise it's impossible to get good grease into it. One tube of grease should easily last you a year
