Completely motorbikes… gone?
Discussion
Yes, they are in administration rather than liquidation, and closed for a couple of days for stock take.
As is always the way, there’s customers with bikes booked in for service work or people who have paid for new machines but not yet collected them.
Staff at the Worcester Ducati dealers are as much in the dark as anyone else and had no idea this was coming.

Possibly depends on the business model and how much debt the business has to service from day to day trading operations.
If you run a low margin, high volume model targeting the price conscious and you're heavily indebted from scaling, any sudden downturn in volume and/ or upturn in costs can leave you exposed. No idea about this particular business but you often see something go from very successful to not very successful quickly because of that type of scenario.

I visited the Hinckley outlet a few weeks back. I found it strange there were no prices any anything.
You had to scan a QR code to find out. Bit of a phaff and I'm one of those strange people without their phone glued to their hand 24/7.
It's quite an ingenious way around planning regulations and expensive glass showrooms and rates You had to scan a QR code to find out. Bit of a phaff and I'm one of those strange people without their phone glued to their hand 24/7.
It's not a showroom - it's a distribution center ! Which is why they can't openly display the prices
I find it very frustrating that people can set up these businesses, like Cazoo and Completely - they have a lavish lifestyle, paid for by the company and generally they walk away with millions
Whilst the Shareholders / Banks / employees / taxpayers pay for their failure
If the Directors were held personally liable, I suspect we'd have less of these companies set up / fail

I hear they were taking deposits, full payments and part ex bikes days before they went under. Little hope of these customers receiving their new bikes or getting their money back I fear.
I see they had car outlets as well as bike shops, both under the Completely Motoring Group umbrella. Is the car business still operating?

As they've gone into Administration I fully expect any deals to be honored I see they had car outlets as well as bike shops, both under the Completely Motoring Group umbrella. Is the car business still operating?
Administrators will be trying to get money in, the best way to do that is to sell bikes

Can anyone confirm if P&H motorcycles in Crawley is also closing down?
A mate went in just over a week ago & reckoned something was up. New bikes apparently being moved out the showroom - he seemed to think Superbike Factory were taking over. I rode past last weekend but didn't have time to check things out. Their website appears to be running normally: https://phmotorcycles.co.uk/ujio said:

They are as good as gone. Website still being up is actually a bad thing because it shows they either don’t have the staff or will to update it.
Rumour is that Superbike factory might take the premises.

That's the rubbish one - there's no new information or facts in it Big group expanded rapidly through borrowing, has gone bust because of cost of borrowing...
