Hi all,
been using this place for years, nephew is now looking at Motorbikes and I want to be able to chat with at least some knowledge.
Never had a bike, never ridden anything other than a holiday rental twist and go scooter (Didn't crash!!)
So I'm looking for an active UK bike forum where I can pop up as a complete newb and ask dumb questions.
Thanks in advance.
M

The Friendly Dumb questions thread in biker banter is the one you want.

There’s some good, decent and knowledgeable bike owners on here.

Forums in general are a rapidly dying thing, so there isn't really anything the same as here. If he can't get the answers in Biker Banter, theres always Reddit /r/MotoUK/ which has a lot of the common stuff as FAQs as well.

There are many forums for bikes, some one make orientated or some specific to one model line

Ukgser.com

There is a bias towards BMs but if you want discussion on routes, gear, toys, insurance, mechanics etc it can be very good.Lots of sub forums like on here.

Like all forums there are some idiots, but sift those out and it's an excellent resource. I think it's £15 p.a, but that also allows you to sell things, which I've done several times which is a much better experience than eBay or marketplace
